Imagine a world in which artificial intelligence not only performs tasks but also has feelings. Tin-hearted robots are trying to understand why no one ever calls them on Friday karaoke night. Artificial intelligence is sobbing at yet another Netflix rom-com. Machines desperate for betrayal with a trendier virtual assistant. AIs are terrified of losing their identity over the upcoming software update. And then happiness, tears, love, laughter. What if it was our fault, us humans? What if, by dint of seeing artificial intelligence as an enemy - it will replace human labour, it will subject us to its will, it is a threat to humanity itself - we provoke in AI an incurable digital loneliness, a sense of abandonment, an irrepressible urge to cry bitter tears? Will the day come when we take our computers to therapy?

The PRINTlovers shopper made for Luxepack 2024, however, carries not only the emotional baggage of artificial intelligence but an extraordinary innovation in the world of finishing.

The shopper was made using the exclusive Moon Foil technique, a special application of Cold Foil technology, developed in recent years by Erredue1973.
The Moon Foil is carried out during the offset printing process. It transcends the limits of Cold Foil's coated substrates, exploring metallised renditions on natural papers and boards with captivating visual effects and an infinite range of colours. The technique can incorporate all the most classic post-printing finishings without any problems. Because of its uniqueness and exclusivity, Moon Foil® has been a registered trademark of Erredue1973 since 2023.
The shopper was cold foiled with Oropress shiny silver cold foil in the new UltraLite version. Oropress has reduced the thickness of the PET layer, creating a more sustainable and high-performance product. This innovative foil offers impeccable coverage and outstanding clarity and is perfect for use on coated and uncoated paper. Thanks to the metallisation achieved with the cold foil, the offset overprint is characterised by a high gloss.
The substrate chosen for the shopping bag is 175 g MetsäBoard Natural FBB, an uncoated, thick multilayer board with a natural tone and luxurious appearance. It reflects current trends in high-end packaging: a natural appearance with a sense of authenticity. MetsäBoard Natural FBB is an aesthetically pleasing rigid board guaranteed for offset and digital printing. Free of optical brighteners, it is globally approved for direct food contact and is compostable. Its applications are in the pharmaceutical and healthcare, food and beverage, frozen and chilled food, food service, and beauty care sectors.
