Emotional Immersion Star by Packaging Première & PCD Milan
In the digital age, art knows no boundaries. Technology has opened new creative doors, allowing us to discover unexplored territories. Digital art has revolutionised the concept of artistic expression: interactive and engaging, it takes centre stage at Packaging Première & PCD Milan, the event dedicated to deluxe packaging scheduled for May 21-23 in Milan.
The artist Vincenzo Marsiglia, known for his iconic four-pointed star stylistic figures, traceable to geometric abstraction, minimalism and optical art, has developed the Emotional Immersion Star project for Packaging Première & PCD Milan. This unique multisensory experience involves visitors from the moment they enter: optical effects on the notes of electronic and experimental music by Ocrasunset. At the same time, an unconventional fragrance - conveying the installation's disruptive power and the event's innovative spirit - wafts through the environment. The sensory journey concludes with the creation of a gourmet dessert interpreted by pastry chef Gianluca Fusto and inspired by the ambient fragrance, star of the back cover and embellished with a narrative label.

PP TCX GLOSS CLEAR 50
COATED NECK LABEL 60 FSC™
The self-adhesive materials chosen for the label of the Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2024 promotional item meet the requirements of a complex and highly technical design. The front label is made of PP TCX GLOSS CLEAR 50, a glossy transparent polypropylene with the new TCX universal coating, perfect for the play of transparencies created by the graphics and also ideal for all projects that require a "no-label look." The collar, on the other hand, is printed on COATED NECK LABEL 60 FSC™. This glossy coated paper belongs to the Neck Label range, designed for all applications on small diameters that require high performance in terms of adhesion.
Printing and Enhancements
For the design dedicated to the upcoming edition of Packaging Première & PCD Milan, a combination of colours and techniques was used with fascinating results. The mix of colours, including new additions to the Luxoro collection, decorates the back cover and the label's surface. The back cover is printed by Grafical in 4 colours and Pantone blue on holographic cold foil LIGHT LINE® Laser Seamless. This creates a play of iridescence, a rainbow movement on the cover and label. After the first offset printing pass, fuchsia, green, and yellow were hot-stamped (LUXOR® 109652 Graffiti Pink, LUXOR® 108829N Combo Green, and LUXOR® 110295N Yellow Portal) with a thin, ultra-precise plate to achieve the central geometric shapes. Finally, the bottle layout was done in gloss screen printing, on which the Home Fragrance label was applied. The lettering was hot stamped with a holographic effect, which was used on all the graphics in its silver overprinted and clear natural versions.
The label is mirror-printed on a transparent four-colour and white backing. Grafical then applied holographic cold colour and overprinted again in four-colour and white, finally using 3-colour hot stamping and screen printing. The clichés are hinderer+ mühlich.
